Marriage Venues
#1
Guys I popped the question to my girlfriend over the weekend and she accepted, well who wouldn't!!
Anyway, we are wanting to get married next year anytime May - August and have started looking at Civil Wedding venues. We have a budget of around £8,000, approx. 60 guests coming for the ceremony and meal plus another 30 people for evening gathering. We have already got friends who are providing Photos, Band, Wedding Car etc. We want to find a nice place in the Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire area. Need to have several rooms also for guests staying over.
Currently have looked at Hambleton hall, Rutland which was beautiful but too expensive and looking at Kilworth Hall, Nr. Lutterworth, Leics. & Coombe Abbey, Coventry on Friday.
Any other reccomendations?
Thanks in advance.

Cheers!
Didn't expect to feel any different but having announced engagement to family and friends, and received very positive feedback, it feels kinda good.
Wedding plans certainly gather momentum once both Mothers get involved. They are both great though and will do exactly what they are told.

PS Congratulations mate and **** all your guests etc and where's convenient for them and just get you and your 'bride to be' up to a nice Scottish castle and tie the knot up here

Hello,
I'm getting married @ Moreton Hall in Warickshire, it's actually part of Wark's college but it is a very nice venue for a civil service, we're having the actual wedding followed by the reception and then evening party there so no traveling for the guests. Only downfall is that there is no where to stay on site but have negoiated some good rates at some of the nice hotels in Lemington Spa and Stratford Upon Avon. If you would like some info look on

We got married at Rowton Castle outside Shrewsbury. Don't know if it's too far, but it's definitely worth the extra bit of travel! Not too expensive, but still really really good. The venue is really nice, and the staff is good too.

For some reason, the pictures on the web site look a bit mank, or something, but it's absolutely gorgeous when you get up there
