Hi everyone...just read that the mag has closed for good!
i for one will miss the magazine as it had some good articles and intersting info on preparing you car and track info,
also had a good circuit guide in a few issues.
does anyone know what happened? as in octobers edition it was talking about next months issue and talk of printing where all the cameras will be fo network q, so they were forward thinking at the time and then nomore???
well ill miss it.
cheers Lee

Seems a bit sudden wonder what happened? the 40th edition said something about looking forward to the next 40. Can't imagine why they wouldn't bring out one more magazine saying goodbye like Performance Car did a few years back
It had become somewhat more orientated towards the younger market recently, but was still about the best car magazine outside Evo.
Hopefully it will make a comeback one day.

When CCC became "Track Car Monthly" the sales started to drop. Even Dave Walkers excellent column couldn't persuade people to keep buying it. To my mind it did kind of lose its way a little, compared to how it used to be. I still used to buy it, but chances are I would have stopped in the next 18 months or so.
Sales were dropping rapidly towards the end and basically the staff were told one morning that it was going to be stopped!
Its a shame, hopefully the staff will find another outlet. Maybe as part of another non "teenage" car magazine? Evo perhaps?

We advertise in CCC, and had this information throuhg a little while ago. The mag was great, and I for one will miss it hugely.
However, we recently got information through from Unity Media who have a new mag coming out that is supposed to replace CCC called Race and Track Car.
I will reserve judgement until I read it, but I hope for everyone's sake they employ Dave Walker. Their advertising rates are scandalous, but we shall wait and see...........
