I think smell is the most evocative senses so I have compiled a list of smells over the last 32 years



1970 Baby powder/Vomit/poop/mummy Cant really remember

Smells are very effective in life. Certain smells bring back so many memories e.g. smell of peach room freshner reminds me of our London flat and the time spent there!

Scooby96, no I think that would be rather vulgar for a public bbs, hence I have memrely alluded to it, sorry if its a bit subtle, smelt '*****' today as my brother was moving house, got a matress out of the van stood in the border to get the leverage and walked cat **** all through the house, cat even put an appearance in and got a wet cloth chucked at it, furry little ****.

Austin Maxi vinyl interior, smell of stale leaded petrol, guaranteed to make me car sick.

Play-doh!

Salty water from swimming in the sea, chlorine from the indoor pool.

Stale cigarette smoke in one of the mobile classrooms, Mr Powell the maths teacher having a *** after school and not opening the windows until the next day. We'd gag when we came in.

Tobacco. My parents were horrified when they found I'd been collecting dog-ends just to pick the tobacco out and sniff it. Totally different to trying to actually smoke the stuff.

Eau Sauvage, Kouros.

Two degenerate room-mates smuggling dope out to Italy on the ski-trip. Thinking that everyone who smoked Marlboros after that was a dope-head.

French pastries made with marscapone cheese, still make me gag even now.

Fresh soap on a girlfriend, she said she had previously been a soap-using maniac, more than a bar a week.

White Musk on a gorgeous girl at University, Anais Anais on my seriously horny landlord's daughter. I can still pick them out in a crowd at 30 yards.

Burnt sulphur matches, a family-size box struck one after another in a bathroom with a closed door, it took two hours. I was borrowing someone's flat in Moscow, turned out their son was a heroin addict.
