i love these *statistics*. i mean, someone is hungover and misses a day off work therefore this is a loss to the employer but in many cases i'm sure the work will be caught up with etc.
load of bollox. we aren't machines with 24/7 productivity (though were possible we have been replaced with said robots!)
drinking as said brings in revenue and creates jobs (pubs, off-licenses, hospitals, taxis, breweries, police, (and they all buy insurance),etc). all part of life so these statistics are bollox.

Maybe if the government had decent drink hours and laws then people would not need to binge drink.
My mate works until 10pm every night so he only gets 1 hour to go to the pub and in that hour he has to get home, get changed and go so he only actually get 40 minutes, is there any wonder people bing drink?????

I heard the 4 pints figure and thought blimey.
I went to the pub last night for a few drinks with friends and have a crack at the quiz. All very social - no one goes down to get lashed. We have a natter and a good laugh. I drunk four pints. Binge my ***!
