Just bought a radar/speed camera detector can anyone tell me if they are legal to use and if so are they ALL illegal because Argos are now selling them.

yes thay are legal now in the uk, but i think not in the rest of europe

the laws were relaxed a few years ago can't remember the exact details but hey sue argos if you get nicked!

They are one of those loophole things like radio scanners, they are not illegal to own but it is "illegal to act on information recieved by them!?" Try proving it though! ie, People used to listen in to mobile phone calls on the old analogue phones about deals being made and then dived in and undercut for contracts,

bloody europeans , next they'll want us to use their currency !! but there was a news report about that guy in france who got stopped , fined about a grand in total and then they cut off his head with a guillotine !!

They are legal in England, but as a case has never been brought before a Scotish court, they are still technically illegal in Scotland. However, the original ruling in the English court was based upon the Wireless Telegraphy Act, which applies to the whole of the UK, so any case in Scotland would almost certainly have the same outcome.

In short, don't worry
