think thats bad

i have to take a 40" waist , just to take my thighs,

ok GYM has a lot to answer , but a right pisser , 38" sit fine but thighs are no use, even calfs bulge out back

enjoy my beer etc, but killer is cut on trousers,

my opinion though

edit to say "dress trousers only" jeans are ok ,

Am I alone in hating shopping with a passion?

Since leaving school 7 years ago, i have pretty much stopped all sports, add to that binge drinking issues and what do you get???? bigger waiste lines.

its got to the point where i will avoid shopping at all costs, I own 1 pair of trainers, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of jeans, 1 suit, 1 pair of trousers, 1 pair of jogging bottoms, and a few pairs of shorts.

(loads of shirts)

I only go shopping when my clothes fall apart, thats how much i hate it.

Today I have eaten a bread roll for lunch and im about to eat dinner, thats my usual intake for food. But as i dont get any exercise im not seeing any size loss. I'm now a 38" waist, im generally a broad bloke - not short and fat.....

2 years ago i signed up to join a gym because a lady with a low cut top and massive jugs told me to. paid 700 quid for 2 years and went 3 times......

I feel embarresed shopping for clothes and is a regular venue for arguements between my gf and I.

Am I alone????

Now I have just spend 200 quid on clothes and have the right hump about it.

Argh......

What do you think?? stop boozing for a month (dont drink much any more) and buy a crosstrainer for home or just get over it and buy fat blokes clothes??

i actually don't mind shopping but it's not my favourite thing to do. this country (well, the UK ) sucks for shopping - people are just a**holes here, everything from food shopping to clothes shopping is a chore - even getting car bits. head over to the good old USA and it's sooooooooooooooooooo much better, the good experience starts at the carparking...

I know exactly what you mean mate, I use to hate shopping and would go out to find some fashionable clothes and would come back with nothing because nothing fit me. But now I love shopping because I can now go out and buy loads of clothes and every thing fits me (down side I end up spending a fortune).

So I only got I piece of advice for you.... DIET!!!!

I was 17 stone and have now lost 3.5 stone. Its great best thing ever did.

I find clothes shopping a real pain too, but I like it when I find something that fits nicely. That's the main problem though - finding stuff that fits. I'm slim, and all the shirts and jumpers out there seem to be loose fit. The waists in jumpers don't taper in so they're all baggy and look a mess. Likewise with shirts. They are not cut to fit and look truly awful. I end up going to London because that's the only place that has a wide enough range. Usually end up paying top prices, but then if it fits...

Does anyone know of any shirts that are fitted?

That’s probably the problem mate you not eating enough and not at the write times. It’s hard to believe but I now actually eat more than I did when I was 17 stone. I never ate at the write times, I would never eat breakfast and then about 1pm I would eat a big cheese sandwich and a bag of crisps and then I would eat my tea about 9 or 10pm and go to bed a couple of hours later and that would be it. Now I eat breakfast before I leave for work, I have a ham or chicken salad about 1pm then have tea about 6pm and then eat nothing else that day. When and how much you eat plays a large factor in a diet. Starving your self doesn’t work you body will try to hold on to the fat for as long as possible, missing breakfast and eating late at night is the worst thing you can do.

It's not the amount you eat, it's the type of food. A sandwich usually has a fatty protein filling (meat) in bread (carb). Your body always processes the carb 1st by dumping a sh!tload of insulin into your bloodstream. Just as the carb is used up and the insulin level drops your brain tells you you're hungry, so you eat again. The fats & protein gets stored in an endless cycle. Best way to get out of it is Atkins. Cut out the carbs and use the fats & proteins as energy. Big bonus is you never feel really hungry and you get to eat a full english (careful with the sausages) every day. Get the book, really. I've lost 3st in 10 weeks, and I don't feel punished, hungry or guilty like all the other diets.

I went shopping for clothes about 3 years ago. Found some nice smart trousers for going out in but was ed to find I needed a 42" waist and they stopped at 40".

One large kick of my own ***, loads of effort at the gym and now I'm a 36" waist Get anything I want in my size now

Time to get sweating IMO!

Bollócks, I love it especially when shopping with the g/f and picking out gear for her.

I take an interest in her which probably makes me unusual.

It surprises me how many males sit outside the changing rooms and barely look up when their wifes/gf's ask for their opinion, like it's some kind of macho response to not look remotely interested in girly clothes.
