Wondering if anyone knows anything about this?

My GF is in the process of doing 5 paintings, dimensions of which will be about 3ft by 3ft. From this I intend to produce 25 limited edition prints from each of the 5 originals, dimensions of which will be about 1ft by 1ft. Also postcards, greeting cards etc.

Question is, anyone work in the industry of know where to get this sort of work done, what the process and cost would be, and what we can expect in quality terms for the finished prints.

Any pointers greatly recieved.

regards

Stuart

Stuart,

With those size of originals you are not going to be able to bung them in a A4 scanner and produce digital prints. I would expect they would need to be professionally photographed and then printed.

I really don't know enough about that side of things to help but you could worse than visiting SAA and asking on their forums.

Cheers

Any decent repro house with a drum scanner can usually scan up to A2. Above that and it needs a pro photo to med/large transparancy then scanning.
