I recently objected to some plans of a local business that backs on to my rear garden. I have since received a letter from the local council advising that they have submitted amended plans showing a revised south elevation with a 'hipped' roof to reduce the impact on residential properties.

What the hell is a hipped roof?

If anyone can help me I would be grateful if they could email me or post a thread so I can email them as I would like someone with expeience in this field to view the plans online and give me their opinion.
