I will be in Kamakura on Sunday, been there a few times, always very interesting.
If you want some UK nosh while you're there, a pub in Yokohama called the 'Tavern' do a Sunday carvery (rare as rocking horse shyte) so head there between 12 and 3pm. Its next to McDonalds beside Tokyu Hands... any local police bod should be able to point you in that direction! its only 5 mins walk from the station!
Enjoy the experience.

Hello
I'm off to Tokyo on Saturday for a couple of weeks for work. Does anyone have any suggestions as to things to see? Especially as I am there for one of their "Bank Holiday" days.
I've been there once before briefly, I do not really want to see used teenage girls underwear and mentrual fluid for sale in vending machines on the tube again....
Thanks,
Steve.

Lot's of the usual tourist things to do. Most large hotels can point you in the general direction of the best shrines, etc. Meiji is the one to go for if you are strapped for time. The Imperial Gardens can be a nice way to pass the time.
There's a shop called the Oriental Bazaar not too far from Meiji shrine with a good range of souvenir stuff.
Shibuya and Shinjuku are good shopping areas in general and give you a good feel for the buzz of Tokyo - Shibuya in particular. Ginza is pretty good as well if you want the larger department stores.
Hundred and one places to drink and eat. I used to prefer the traditional Japanese places but would suggest you take a native with you to help you out. For more foreign night-time fun Roppongi is a bit a laugh.
If you have time to head out of Tokyo at the weekend most tourists head for Kamakura (with its giant Budha) or to Mount Fuji. If Japan is already into Autumn then get yourself up into the mountains - the red/orange leaves can be spectacular. Again, the hotel should be able to point you in the right direction.
Enjoy!

Boxst - can't believe I forgot to mention Akihabara!! Electronic heaven. If you actually plan to buy anything then take your passport to save on the tax. Also check that whatever you buy is for the international market - some of it's Japan-only.
Just remembered the name of the area for Mt Fuji - Hakone.

What the Dickens in Ebisu (in Tokyo, on the green yamanote line) is a popular brit pub - there are quite a few that are designed to look like a local, but not many that actually serve warm beer and counter food
You could go visit Super Autobacs in Shinonome - always a great car show on weekends Lotsa bits and bobs for Scoobs there too.
And watch for a decent sounding, lowered white (actually a bit grey ) Leggy B4 w/v. dirty gold wheels
Have a great time!!
