Question

Is it me or is this massive power cut really good timing for Tony Blair. I.e it diverts media attention away from him and onto something completley different.

Doing a Jo Moore I wonder?

Had I left work 10 mins earlier (e.g. at the same time I left yesterday...), I would have been stuck on the tube

Wasn't helped by the fact that there was a power outage in Stansted Mountfitchet too, so all the WAGN trains were delayed. Luckily I got a bus to Liverpool street then the delayed Stansted Express home, so I reckon I only lost about 30-40 minutes.

Needless to say, yesterday when I was wearing a jacket it didn't rain and I didn't have to wait for a bus. Today, when I wasn't wearing a jacket...

Taken from the BBC News website:
"A bit of the Blitz spirit is kicking in and people are talking to each other which is nice, but we need more cabs and more bus lanes."
What a genius, of course we should be building more bus lanes for the one time in 20 years the lights go out for an hour

It is very suspicious - first major power failure in UK for must be 25 or so years, hard on the heels of the US cuts, whats going on, I dont think were getting the full story.

Oh yeah loads of fun tonight, guess i was the only IT person in work then !!! all manner of **** hits the fan, glad our generator kicked off. I cant even think about doing a DR situation. Was havoc around Bank, p1ssing down with rain, all the pubs shut, buildings evacuating people !! nightmare. Still, shed loads of overtime. !!! still it was only an hour and we had power back to the building. 30 phone calls later, most people happy, DR avoided, now looking forward to our room at the Tower Thistle !! he he

still most strange though that its not that long after NY and the talk in the papers that it could so happen here quite easily, low an behold it does !!! coincidence, hmmm not sure. still the hotel bar will be open till late !! then back in work for 7am !!! happy days.

I agree with Neil - TB. Liar set it up so he didn't have to go drinking with me.

Has anyone else noticed how slow your keys work tonight?
