Congrats !

Did have a rant at the TV the other day, when on the news they were slating the results saying that the exams were / are to easy, but i never heard ANYONE say that the kids might just have been studying that little bit harder to make ensure they get decent results.

My step-daughters results are in too.
She got the 4 C's-or-above that she needed to do her higher level college course!
I'm well happy!
Although it does mean I have to buy her a new mobile that I promised her

paulpalmer - Modular Science wasn't it? I took that and got a good grade (I took single modular science, then they told use that the highest grade you could get with that is a D, but if deemed by your teacher to warrent it you could sit a harder exam that meant you could get a C, I did and got a C )

Combined sciences. Genius. We were the first proper GCSE year, and they were in experimental mode! Almost as rubbish as doing humanities modules instead of geography etc. Utter pap!

Congrats to your sis tho Paul. And in a year when the results are worse than last year!

Thumbs up

Chaos - I took the 2nd year of GCSEs, and managed to obtain a nice silver medal from the KE Schools of B'ham, to acknowledge my results. (Before you comment, there are no "gold" medals...)

I also took the "man's" subjects, and carried Biology and Chemistry on to A-level standards, well, tried to!

We'd prepared with the old O-level papers... so it was a shock to see how bloody easy the GCSEs were!

Still - PP - your sis got some good results there, and as long as the attractions, or should that read distractions, of booze and dossing around don't lead her astray, she'll be on the right road to a decent career! Bravo!
