Did they tell you not to eat for 12 hours..?????? It helps to stop sudden bowel movements.

only about a million times

it's easier to kick a crack habit

Seriously though, I have suffered from bad backs on and off since I was a teenager, and ahve seen several different osteopaths. Some where better than others, none caused me pain during the treatment, all of them alleviated the pain I was in, again, some more than others. If they try to get you back more than about half a dozen times over a few weeks I would stop going. The better ones will give you exersizes to do that will help to keep your back lose. (i'm assuming it is your back?)

sounds pretty similar to what i have mj. basically the lower vertebrae are very stiff, and this leads to muscle/soft tissue damage when you do things that require the lower back to flex, and it doesn't. as i was very used to doing physical work, i find it very hard not to lift things. however, it's just not worth it. guys sometimes give me a funny look when I say I won't lift something or help them to move the fridge they are delivering or whatever, cos i've got a bad back. lifting technique can help lots too. I was wincing when i watched a bit of the stongest man competition on the telly - some of these guys are gonna be crippled later in life...

Neck clicked, went to see em, they gave it a hell of a click; still clicked. Stopped of its own accord as the bone was grinded down naturally

Britsh school of osteopathy by London Bridge is cheap if you dont mind students.

Guy was good and said 'you ride a motorbike' cos of me neck muscles!!! Didnt know I had any!

Been once, couldn't stand up straight at the time, turned out I had pulled some muscles in my lower back. I was "stretched" a bit by the osteopath and then given some exercises to help over the next couple of weeks. Certainly did the job

Being the lanky git that I am (6ft3), I do get a bit of back trouble from time to time. I find regular exercise is the best prevention. I'm more likely to get a dodgy back if I haven't been exercising.

Went to see one earlier in the year after a couple of painful stiff neck episodes - probably caused by the cumulative effects of years of snowboarding & karting.

He was able to 'free up' a number of joints in my neck and lower back - a very odd experience having to completely relax while he did his 'manipulations'. Amazing just how loud the crunches sound!

Has definitely loosened things up, and my back/neck have been a lot better since.
