Basically never eat any leafy greens......lettuce,coliflower,broccoli etc, etc.
I do eat carrots, apples, banana's and occasionally onions....but thats it.

Not doing me any long term damage is it?

nah - I never eat them either and haven't suffered yet!

As I see it, it's merely a function of evolution - i.e. it's not efficient for me to eat plants - much better to let the animals do that, and I eat them instead

A doner kebab usually has some greens. As does a BLT sarnie. As do MaccyDees/BK etc. I'll bet a lot of people eat 'greens' without realising.

Ah, but eskimos don't eat dairy products or animal fats either

Mainly fish that isn't stuffed to the gills with PCB's, Phthlates, female hormones etc.

paul
If you eat loads of animal protein/fats, dairy products, processed foods and takeaways, but no greens (cruciferous veg - broccoli, cauliflower etc are particularly good) or that much fresh fruit either, then i'd predict you are a goner, and probably fairly soon, i'm afraid

haha - WE'RE ALL DOOMED! Amazing that any of us are here to type messages with all the health related scares around the place - don't eat this, make sure you eat that FFS.

lol - my grandad lived until he was 85, and was always a fit looking old bugger who never ate any plants (cancer got him in the end from his smoking).

I'll carry on leaving the plants to the rabbits, cheers.

PMSL - shame the processed sh1te, "recovered" meat, chemicals, salt, sugar and cheap carcinogenic rapeseed oil in takeaways do far more damage then the greens help though

dave, your right about dairy products- no animal on earth drinks milk once its on solids...except us idiots. but fats.....eskimos love a bit of seal blubber!

its funny because the gov "eat greens" thing exists because the good that veg does will conteract all the ****e that ppl eat. if you only ate good stuff in the first place you wouldnt need the 5 portions.

T

ps- the one soggy leaf in a bigmac is not enough to counter the effect of a bigmac im affraid!

I do eat fruit,at least one apple and banana a day(get them free) and carrots and very occasionally peas, but alas no greens.I also like milk, eggs and chhese(only semi-skimmed milk btw).

Avoiding processed foods is easier than it sounds, its everywhere.Everything from roast potatoes to yorkshire puddings is precooked now.

Sprouts over here please. And cabbage. And greens. And broccoli. And beans. And peas. And asparagus. And mushrooms, while we're at it!

All donations gratefully received!

On a simialir theme,we are always being told that men are rubbish at going to the doctors, that we should check ourselves out more etc.Well not too long ago i went along asking for a full health check(you tend to do these things once you hit 30) and he made me feel i was wasting his time.If there's nowt wrong with me whats the problem was his response.
They did a quick blood pressure check and that was it.

Can you get a complete mot done privately....how much?Anyone had one done?

Same here paul, I went to our local 'well man' clinic and all I had taken was my blood pressure. I had ask for my bloods to get taken as I wanted to make sure the old liver was in tip top after years of abuse

I was also hoping the lovely nurse would feel my ***** and ask me to cough as well, damn

I've done my best to kill myself on four wheels. If enjoying a glass of milk every night knocks a couple of years off my life... LIGAS.

Can't stand drinking milk and never have tolerated it......have a mild allergy to dairy products anyhow.

The only way I could drink milk was when I was weight training.....mixed in with a powdered choccie protein shakes.
