Woke up this morning with an itchy area on my cheek bone, looked in the mirror and I looked a little disfigured.
There was a definite lump.
Anyway, as the day has gone on I can now see it through my left eye, it has grown huge.
It looks like i've been bitten whilst asleep but I've never had anything like this happen before.
Will I die before the morning?

Sleep on the couch tonight mate. At the rate this mother is swelling, by morning it may have completely obscured your downward vision, making a fatal fall down the stairs a distinct possibility.

7 Foot- Thanks, but I have a lift so I can still go upstairs to bed.
Mind you, I'm not sure the doors will be wide enough.

A guy I work with had one of them, a lump came up on his cheek for no reason.
He went to the Dr and they said it was a Absess and gave him some antibiotics.
They worked, but no drinking while your on them.

Chel- I know it's not an absess but thanks anyway.
UB- Luckily there is no swelling inside the mouth, I have no restriction at all just this spare face!!
Latest: It's stopped growing but isn't going down and it's warm now but not painful.
Why can't these things happen on your ****?

I'd rather have them on my face personally -
strange lump/pustule on face = insect bite or uberzit
strange lump/pustule on pecker = maybe insect bite or uberzit, but probably VD.

Well, still alive and it isn't as pronounced only it has spread.

I got bitten by an unidentified "something" in Australia right on the achilles tendon area. It started as a mosquito type bite, small itchy bump, but then it grew and grew until my ankle was all puffy too. Eventually a little blister appeared in the middle. The whole thing went down after a few days.... classic allergic reaction.
Try taking some antihistamine or putting some topical a/h cream on it.

Update- In the last half-hour the swelling has started to go down. I no longer look like effylunt man just a little smacked up.
I might just venture out without the balaclava now.

It was a mozzy, the same búgger was back this morning but I heard him this time.
Face has almost gone down now and there is just a slight raised area plus a mark.
My skin has appeared to stretch but is tightening by the hour.
Tonight i'm wearing a helmet in bed.
