Latest (attention/money-seeking) stunt - to be suspended without food, communication or distraction over the River Thames for 44 days, with just one tube for urinating and another for waste products. To be shown live on telly.
"We are all capable of infinitely more than we believe" said the 30 year old New Yorker.
Aren't there old ladies' gardens this bloke could be digging??

IIRC, the average human body can last for just over a week without water, but 6 or 7 weeks without any food.
Is this a new take on the Atkins plan?

It's all a con
The last trick they did inside the ice block was a fix also
It was sprayed with C02(to make the ice refreeze) at which point inside they swapped over with a look a like who was under the ice block all nice and warm with food water and a tv
There was a remote link video which poeple on the outside could see into the cube and this was just put on a loop sequence when it was time for change over
It has all been on SKY 1 to show how these TRICKS are done

Not sure the ice was a con in the way you suggest it was... Look at his setup and compare it to the "exposed" way it was done - it couldn't have been done as the expose suggests.
Read his book, it's superb... And gives a good insight into him

All Magic is a con or a trick or a not what it appears to be, but the fun it trying to work out HOW they did it.
As for Blaine, I used to think he was good but now I am not so sure, its all getting a little too much like what he has done before. Now, if he could get 30mpg out of a scooby, then that would be a trick worth seeing! (I know, not even funny!!)

At the end of the day none of us know for sure whether the ice trick was real or not. We arent talking magic in the usual sense, whereby you know it didnt really happen but you dont know how they did it. His trick was a test of physical and mental endurance - nothing really magical about that is there?
Ive no doubt someone could do what he did so why would he bother faking it? His other trick was standing on that pole for a couple of days - Id like to see how he faked that one. Let me guess he got Captain Kirk to beam him up whilst projecting a holographic image of himself
Simon.

God you're a miserable bunch!
Good on him - and he should be welcomed to the UK, not derided for his entertaining publicity stunts. So what if they might be faked, bloody impressive either way.

P1Fanatic hit the nail on the head, none of what hes doing at the minute is magic or tricks. its a physically demanding stunt. he his trying to take his body to the extreme and show people what can be done. and the ICE trick was not a fake, it was doumented for hours of telvision him sitting in baths filled to the brim in Ice to get his body used to low temperature, people watched him constantly. and as said b4, standing on a pole, lt me guess he hid inside the pole whilst they put a dummy up there.
the guy should be respected. even his magic/tricks are amazing to watch...
