Question

Wife's phone is in my name - had it for a few years now. 12 month contract - renewed twice to get new handsets.

She's on a 600 free off-peak minutes deal, which we were considering changing as she now uses it more during the day / other network calls etc, and it's getting expensive....

However.....letter Saturday from vodafone advising changes to our current "call plan":-

- Extra £2 per month for contract (up 16%)
- Peak rate calls 27ppm (up 80%)
- Off-Peak calls 40ppm (up 400%) (not that she ever goes beyond her 600 free minutes).

Rather different to the deal we signed up to, but no idea what tarif change "get-outs" they have in the contract

Do I :-

a/ Stop bleating and take the opportunity to move to a new plan that would actually better suit us now.

b/ Whine like a bee-atch, eventually take a new option but stroppily insist that I'll switch networks at the end of my contract.

Hello

I don't know about "legally". But O2 tried to do this to my wife, as she had something like 400 off-peak minutes for £12 a month.

We complained, and we kept the contract. They do ring us up every other month and try to get us to swap to a "newer" tariff though....

Steve.
