What temperature do you have?

Thermometers will give false readings in certain conditions, and so the official temperatures are the only reliable figures. I have lost count of the number of people who have visited Majorca, or Cyprus, and come home to tell me that they had to endure 130 degrees every day, then be out-scorched by someone who went to Tunisia who says - "that's nothing, where we were it was 140".

Well it was on the news that Heathrow has hit the highest temperature ever, ever, ever in Britland, er, since records began, er, in their current form, er, 160 years ago.
However, it is only in the last few tens of years that Heathrow has been surrounded by zillions of acres of nice black tarmac soaking up the sun's radiation and then pumping it out again via convection.
That'll be the climate change then
mb (where it has been raining in Brum )

Anything approaching 40 degrees is "b*stard hot"- add to that humidity and nighttime temps of 30 degrees and things get pretty sticky without air conditioning in the house.
I'm glad your getting some in the UK- as I said in another thread we have had 3 weeks solid of it now with another couple of weeks forecast here in the south of France. Roll on Autumn and some rain.

On my patio, at 2.00 o'clock today and still rising:
Assuming BT can be bothered to let people see my pictures.
When you're ready folks.
Anyway, it's 46 degrees down here!
Edited to make the picture viewable
