My Sister has just recieved her renewal for insurance for her 106 GTi. In the last 12 months she has managed to gain 3 points on an SP30 Her renewal is £180 more than last year which for a poultry 3 points seems an obscene amount. She is 28 with 9 years no claims to her name.
Can anyone name any good insurance companys for someone in her position?
Has anyone else got experience of insurance renewal after gaining 3 points?
Thanks

Brun,
Last year after gaining 4 points care of Cheshire Constabulary my insurance (through Admiral) went from 900.00 up to 1550 that was with 9 years NCB. Suffice to say I phoned around and ended up paying 780 through Churchill (mind you I had to lose the fully de-catted exhaust as they won't insure modifications)
This year I've changed to Liverpool & Victoria and am paying 565 and can have almost any modifications I like. Roll on the 4 pot Brembos and the return of the exhaust

It may not be the points causing the increase because my (ex) insurance company just tried to increase my premium by £250 for no reason at all! An extra years no claims (to 6 years) and that's the reward - They really take the p*** sometimes.
