I have just purchases an S5 R from a boot sale it came in a box with receipts but with no instructions. The bloke selling it was a bit unsure of its functions. I understand the mute and dark buttons, but what does the mode button mean, it cycles through logic 1 logic 2 and logic 3, what are the differences.

it's the radio bands - 3 is the one recommended for the uk (X/Ka/Ku bands off, K and laser on) 1 is everything on (and it gets very wearing).

Bit of a bargain at 30 quid - well done !

£30 I wish, it cost me £120, still a bit cheaper than new, got a few marks on it but does the job hopefully. I has a cobra 9250 before I think that model it was anyway, it was useless, hopefully this will be better

If it's anything like my S6-R Neo, the logic modes refer to...

1. Detect every camera, no matter which side of the carriageway it's on.

2. Detect every camera, ONLY on your side of the carriageway (which mine's set to).

3. Can't remember...! (lol)

Mode refers to Radar/Laser sensitivity. If you drive through a town high street, with shops that use radar for their automatic doors, they can set off your detector. The Mode allows you to specificy All, Town, Motorway (again, assuming it's the same as the S6-R Neo).

But I don't think this last bit applies to you, 'cos yours doesn't come with a separate Radar/Laser detector, does it? Ignore the last paragraph!
