Stolen mobile options

Sadly had my Vodaphone mobile stolen on hols and have returned to some horrific potential replacement charges. Anyone had this situation and found a clever solution? btw contract runs out in December.

Get replacement sim from Vodafone, then buy cheap handset out of the free ads or similar then canx contract when run out.
Did u claim of ur holiday insurance ? as u should be covered for theft, unless otherwise stated.

They shouldnt charge you more than £25 to replace it if you're on a contract
Just tell them that you want another phone for free or you'll change your service plan to the cheapest £10/15 a month one they do until the end of your contract, and you'll go to orange who are happy to give you a free phone. It helps if your monthly bills are a decent (£30-40) amount usually. Just blag them, you'll get a free phone.
