Question

Have any of you installed NOS to your cars or know someone that has? Any recommendations of who to consult? I'm seriously considering it for my car as it seems like good performance gains for little money but would like some real world experiences...

Thx.

People tell me "Don't even think of it"! They say it wrecks the engine!I love my scoob too much to do so!Saying that,I have seen a thread or two here when people had the NOS and really were made up without any probs(YET!).

I had it on my Gti 6 with 50bhp jets, it was ok and felt like the car was coming on boost when activated

Total pain in the **** getting the bottle refilled tho.

Consult www.noswizard.com

Seriously dont listen to anyone on here that claims to know "this and that" about the whole subject because generally you find out that most people dont know **** all about it.

i used to have nitrous oxide installed in two of my cars and they both ran spot on with no problems for a good few years.

If you use progressive nitrous systems you can use large amounts quite safely. Seriously check out the wizard of nos, there is a forum on the site and you will get allot of help in understanding how the system work.

Regarding bottle fill ups, it depends on where you live but i know two places within 20 mins of where i live so it was never a problem for me

Cool

Fairly, I got it fitted to my astra (BEFORE ALL THIS F&F CRAP I HASTEN TO ADD) and its 60 quid to fill a ten pound bottle. great fun to have in the car though. However I have just had to replace my engine cos it had a piston ring and valve stem seal and rebore issue
As long as you appreciate its not a toy and know what you're getting into then you'll be okay. You'll deffo have a lot of fun
