Ever time i am traveling round i see bridges all over the counrty with posters saying "Gouranga" stuck to them !

They are in stoke, london, manchester, durham, everywhere !

Does anybody know what the hell it stands for ?

This has been bugging me for months !

I think it means Be happy in the hari Krishna world of things

 

Yes it means be happy. They always collar me in town and tell me.

 

It's a soft drink back home. Same people who make V.

 

In the earlier versions of Grand Theft Auto, the award for sucessfully running down an entire group of Krishna followers was known as the 'Gouranga bonus'.

was once given a book by one of those hari krishan types just cos i was the only person who stopped to speak to the poor chap. I've no idea what it was but was obviously of some religious meaning to him.

Not being religious in any way, I didn't want it and rather than waste it by throwing it in the bin, I thought I'd give it to my girlfriend's mum because she was (I now a vicar!!).

So I gave it to her becuase I thought she might find it useful, but she didnt even bother opening it and torched it on the barbecue...
