Our 'friend' David Blunkett (Blindgit) is at it again
We will now have to pay £35 as part of a "drive for better compensation for victims of crime"
WTF does that have to do with a speeding offence which is a victimless 'crime'

Argh, tree-hugging PC nonsense hippy sandal wearing do gooding full of crap social worker parasite!!!!!!!!
Maybe we should be strung up for the potential deaths of millions everytime we **********?
The charity Victim Support said the compensation scheme was in desperate need of reform and whether or not a driver had caused injury was not the only issue.
"There never is a victimless crime, even if it is apparently innocuous, society is suffering from it.
"The driver may have got away with not killing somebody on this occasion, but easily could have done.
"We have always felt that crimes affect the whole of society and that society should respond to crime collectively."

And WTF twisted PC logic is this:

Never heard such rubbish in me life!!

On that basis you may as well fine everyone the moment that they get on their car - they *might* end up killing someone, after all. What these people don't seem to understand is that speed limits are *arbitary*. You can still kill someone at 15 mph, and it will still be presumed to be the fault of the driver. Why don't they get it over with and ban cars altogether? They are just too dangerous, aren't they?

But surely victims of crime should be paid compensation by the person who commits it in the first place. Or is that logic too simple for Blindgit to understand.
Charlie - I wouldn't have seen it in there as I avoid the place these days.
paulr - where better for a good ol' moan than NSR?

this is fine by me......jack the fines up big time. they can also start cutting the hands of criminals.
you speed you break the law.....live with it or move or change the law.
dont sit around moaning that you cant stick to the law as it is yet cant be bothered to alter it.
personaly i dont agree with some limits but im to lazy to get involved so i'll stick the rules. if it bothered me that much i'd do something more procative.

What a load of complete load of utter w@nk this twaddle is, are they on drugs?
This is good enough to be a proper wind-up but i doubt it is, it's all about generating more money for a government who has not got a clue on how best to spend it.
Connemts from The charity Victim Support - Now there's a charity that i would normally give to without a thought. After this i would think twice about giving money to them if this is how they spend it on employing PC, liberal, do-godder monkeys who spout this rubbish.
Its all about getting money from people they can trace (through thier number plates) rather than real criminals.
No-wonder ther are more and more cars on false number plates, these idiots are making things worse for everyday people just trying to make a living and get on with their lives.
Ar$e!

It just means that the victims of crime can be paid damages by the only "criminals" that the Police can catch.
"We haven't got the resources to catch the bloke who burggled your house for your car keys and beat you up, but we did catch 62 people doing 86mph on the A127 near Southend so here's some compensation"

If they can get away with turning a 22% increase in violent crime into a 2% reduction, due to a change in the way violent crime is reported, then they can sure as hell do this

Surely these are two seperate issues if Victim compensation is underfunded then they should fund it from the central resources and if they belive that speeding fines are to low they should justify that.
As we all know the vast majority of speeding convictions are for victimless crimes and therefore they should target the people who cause the majority of victims e.g burglars and drug dealers etc! And Stop oppressing motorists because they can't be bothered to catch a criminal who does have a victim.

Lol @ UB
Yes you are right Pete, this is the world of doublespeak and outright lies now.
Despite what other countries do in this respect and the fact that the economic chickens will soon be roosting, there is no way that this sort of money extraction can be justified.
