Damn Speed cameras

After zooming back from wales after picking up my gran to take home, I totally forgot about the 1 speed camera on the route that is hidden by trees on the straightest, clearest piece of road for the whole journey!
Crising at 80 when I almost came level with it and left me instinctively slamming on the anchors as hard as I could when I did see it
Did'nt get flashed, but Gran is a nervous wreck now!

Talking of Essex i was on my way home from Clacton last night and two cops were on a bridge over the A120 where it was Dual Carriage way, no vehicle in sight no Hi-Vis but with a tripod Laser gun shooting the near empty Clacton bound side? obviously being more empty it was faster moving. NO signs for speed traps etc visible i was just lucky to be going home and of course obeying the limit....
The conditions were dry road good visability and light traffic ideal for making rapid but safe progress on a dual carriage way equally good for more money for Essex Police.
My Mother was with me and couldn't believe what she saw and has spent today telling all her friends about their blatent money making scam, just the sort of community relations they need.
