Tea and cakes for the new Britons

This is nuts. I mean what happens if they fail to pass?

Half hour drinking tea and listening to poetry by Milton and then you can become a British citizen

The ideas there but i would make them learn about our country for a min of a year and then let them take a test and then you get a British passport or of course most will just go down to their local passport 'shop' and buy one without all this silly messing about

I have to say this is one idea which is quite reasonable, as long as it doesn't get Americanised into something sloppy and jingoistic.
