Biro is a pain to remove because it isn't water based. If it was fountain pen then a little bleach solution on a cotton wool bud would do it. Biro would probably need a solvent of some kind.

Whats the deal anyway?

You used to be able to buy 'magic' pens that had ink one end and an 'eraser' the other. Not sure if the ink they use in those is the same though. Might be worth a try?

it is possible to get pens that "soak" up ink from paper, but can be a little hard to find. They look just like a jumbo felt tip.

Contact a book binder/restorer. They should be able to advise you.

does it really matter??

surely you can still read them??

its not like anyone would want/need to see them, or do you have them hanging in the lounge??

makes a good talking point at an interview, if you do need to show them.

good luck

You can get ink-eraser pens from WHSmiths. They will work with ink (fountain) pens but not biros IIRC.

Stain Devils?

TBH, you'd have to be careful what you put on them, as the paper will go soggy.

Advise removing pens and sentimental items from your daughter's reach.

Cool

You can scrape the ink off paper with a sharp razor blade - I've tried it and it works. It takes time and patience.
