Is it normal for a dog to be a week overdue when having pups? I am waiting for my Rotty to be born and the breeder keeps telling me that the mother hasn't had them yet. It is a week today and i'm wondering why the vet hasn't induced her yet? Would they do that or am I being fobbed off? I'm not sure whether to look elsewhere for a puppy or what? Don't want to keep ringing and seeming to be a 'nag' but don't want to keep being 'fobbed' off!!

If it is a reputable(sp) breeder (I hope it is!) then trust them as -lets face it- they know what they are doing.
If it will put your mind at ease, call the vet that deals with Trev to ask their advice???

Thanks, contacted the vet who has said that a week is an exceptionally long time and it shouldn't have gone that long so there may be serious problems. I am going to ring the breeders just to see what is happening as she may have had the ppups and they have forgotten to inform me.
