One of finest movies of the year. Beatiful scenery, superlative soundtrack and minimal dialogue allowed you to enjoy the views.

Not seen the recent one, but saw the original (subtitled, Russian) a loooong time ago. Strange.

The original is a great movie- a homage to Eisenstein according to the director.

Not seen the remake- hollywood re-hashes are total bollocks.

have to agree if you where just to rip the audio track off the dvd as a wave file then you put all the moody bits of music on a cd. i reckon it would be great music to mong out to. just my opinion but there ya go. now where is that dvd.

Also just looked at the original 1972 version on play.com. **** me 2hrs 38 mins wtf the latest one was about 1hr 20mins. is it that much better?
