Can someone help!!
I have started getting these horizontal read lines across the screen. You can't see it when your watching a channel, however the intermitant bit when you change channels, it's as clear as day! Also when I'm watching a DVD you can see it in a dark area of the screen. I have got a Philips 28inch Widescreen TV which I have had for 7 years so I can't believe it's an age issue.
So before I either get it repaired or go out and get a new TV, what is going on???
Cheers

hmm, odd. It is possible the CRT is dying in it. I had 25" Sony for about 8 years and it started to take about 10 mins for the picture to appear on screen then one day, nada, I had sound, but no picture. Took it to a place, they looked at it, said the tube was dead, and would not be worth fixing.
I'd certainly suggest dropping it into a place that can have a look at it, at least then you'd know for sure if it's time to get that nice 40" Plasma screen
