Decided to try something a little different on the BBQ last night - King Prawns marinated in lemon and garlic. Tasted absolutely delicious.
To make up the marinade, take a medium sized dish and 3 bits of garlic, crush the garlic and spread it over the bottom of the dish. Next take a lemon and a lime and squeeze the juice out of them and add it to the dish. Mix in about a fifth of a bottle of virgin olive oil and then add 500 grams (1 pound) of King Prawns. Leave for 3 to 4 hours in the fridge.
To cook 'em up, fire up the bbq and wait until the embers are nice and white. Cook the prawns for no more than two and a half to three minutes on each side. Serve with a salad made with cherry tomatoes, ***** of mozarella, and basil leaves.
Mmmmmm !!! Think I might do them again this evening they were so good !

add some tia maria, you can use good brandy if you like and sugar to the slit.
then give it a minute longer to enfuse
splill out onto aplate and server with a dollop of your fave ice cream.

Try this too:
Finely chop and deseed a couple of red chillis, a bit of garlic and ginger. Add to mixture of honey and soy sauce and fresh lime juice. Leave some aside to drizzle, then use the rest to marinade strips of chicken. Cook the chicken on skewers after marinading for an hour. Best served in pitta breads with some home-made mayo

Both of those sound good to me (quickly scribbling down the ingredients and then it's off the supermarket) Cheers chaps!

I made home made burgers at the weekend. Much nicer than the ones you get in shops.
Some good steak mince
Half on onion
Garlic
An Egg
Some bread crumbs if you want
Some herbs and spices that you like (I used smoked papreka and mixed herbs).
Mix it all up shape and stick in the fridge for half an hour to set.
Dead easy

remember when you cook them to use terms like
"i'll just bosh them in the fridge for a few minutes, me old china, and then whack them on the grill"
"oi mate, pass me that spoon me old son"
pukka
