Infact my dad was going to get the next flight to New York as part of a Notts Fire & Rescue team to help out. It's just a date, and the act is unlikely to be repeated again.

It actually dont bother me in the slightest,
i was just seeing what other people thought
I think they would have a little more imagination than picking a flight to Majorca

Ended up flying with work on the 11th last year.
Only up to Manchester.
Only thing of note that happened was as I was walking back through the middle of the city when someone fired a cannon (at mid day) to commemorate the dead.
I shat my self.
Didn't know it was coming and it went off about 50 yards from where I was walking.
Flight back we a bit smelly.

My parents took my son to Italy last year and they flew on Sept 11th. The flight cost 1p!! The plane was only half full. I had no problem with letting him go and I would have no problem in flying myself. If they are going to hijack a plane again, they aren't going to pick Sept 11th are they?! Go and enjoy!!!

I'd be more scared of flying on new years day.
All those pilots and air traffic controllers with monster hangovers...

I flew early hours of the 12th September, I flew last year on the 11th too ,just for making the statement about not letting terrorism rule our lives or they have won.
will try and fly this year too.
Trust me the plane will not be empty.
