Question

Ok, the problem here is shoes/footwear I now have a number of pair of smart but casual shirts and jeans that go well together but I can't think of a type of footwear that goes with jeans whilst also being fairly smart to complete that smart but casual look. A pair of Nike Airs just don't seem to work and my black leather work shoes look at odds with the jeans

So what does that leave??!! Anyone got any suggestions. Links and pictures required as saying, 'oh you need a pair of thingjamacallits' would be like me telling you that a 1.8m high close-boarded fence is required as adequate screening between two directly facing windows that fall within 18m of each other....

I have a pair of brown "suede" effect lace up Ted Bakers...

Go very well with jeans - although I tend to wear the "dirty denim" style that are flared at the bottom to hide my big feet lol.

They are very comfy as well

A good pair of deck shoes are really comfortable and seem to be acceptable for most occasions. They wear well too.

The "hell" deck shoes are worn by yachties and are sold in boat chandlers. They are made out of soft leather which is tough and treated to withstand the effect of seawater. They are very comfortable, look smart and are not too expensive by todays prices. It is quite surprising how many people use them for normal wear.

wait for it

wait for it

fuel starvation!!!!

Can't understand why people take the mickey out of Rockports. They are really high quality boots. Hard wearing and look smart. I guess it's a bit like BMWs - because some people who own them are w@nkers, it's assumed everyone who owns them are like that.

My favourite boots are my Rockports, and I haven't worn a baseball cap for at least 14 years.

I have a pair of Patrick *** Brown Leather Basket Weave Loafers, a little expensive, but the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn by far. I have walked from the Gare du Nord (Paris) to the Eiffel Tower in them without socks and didnt get one blister !! I KNOW, i couldnt beleive it either.

I want a pair in black now.
