As per above... the ones with their back door open
As soon as I caught view of them I slowed (eyesight not too bad so decent distance ) so just curious as to when the actually snap you and whether I've made my silver screen debut ?
Cheers

PS Not a beep from the snooper

Without worrying you at all, I was zapped by a marked Range Rover before I could even make out what vehicle it was in the hard shoulder.
I could barely see it and I have A1 eye sight but I slowed down in case it was plod.
Of course as I got nearer it was so obvious and So too late!

SiPie,
The snooper would only picks up refracted rays, off a car in front etc. Since the operators always fire the laser at your front no plate your snooper was none the wiser.
Unfortunaly even if they do score a direct hit on your snooper and it beeps, it is only telling you that you have been caught.
Ali
3 radar detectors, and 11 points!

Yup.... Come to the conclusion that these snoopers really are a bag of sh1te
Knew they weren't 100% (or even 50%) foolproof but thought "hey they are still for Gatso's" !
Until...... coming back from the Jim Clark Rally with the infamous 'A68 gatso chain gang' and there was slight fog. Snooper gives a beep so I expect to see some supermarket doors looming and then I realise I am right next to the flippin' gatso... supposed to give you up to 100m notice... well this was literally 1 metre and it ain't muchbetter in broad daylight with zero fog either

Hmmm, just a waiting game I'm afraid mate I've still not heard anything about my run in with a parked up landi so I think I'm in the clear! I recon they were conducting a traffic speed survey and would only have gone after someone that was doing a truely criminal speed. I probably should have just asked the cops that pulled me over last night.....ah well........I'll ask whoever pulls me over tonight I really have to muffle that exhaust

I had a Valentine One that never picked these up either. All they need to do is keep you in view for 3 seconds without another vehicle or obstruction in the way to get a reading.
I also read that cameras can give false indications if operated from inside a vehicle, so why doesn't it apply to these vans?

SiPie,
I reckon they've either turned the power down on the A68 Gatso oscillators, or they've introduced some stealth technology into them My SD815iS used to pick them up from anything up to 100m from behind (and from maybe 800m from the front) but now it's lucky to pick them up from around 10m from behind or 200m from the front. Road Angel is unaffected though

I thought that with some of the Jammers the Gun was just confused and failed to get a reading. Mind you I also understand that as it fails to get a reading so infrequently Plod is likely to know what you are upto.
Having said that if a jammer works on the speed camera vans you may be better off. As generally the vans are operated by civilians and they are more likely to ignore you and why they can't get a reading, and concentrate on the next source of revenue!
