I'm after a 4 man tent for 2 adults and 2 kids (3 years old) for weekends away at a decent camp site.. any advice seems to be loads of tents out there and don't know where to start.

I want something that is reasonable & easy to put up and of course not too expensive.

Cheers

You can do this for under £120.00

Blacks own brand are fine. Colmans from USA sold in YHA and Blacks etc are great. Tents can get into serious money!!! But for family UK normal weather conditions ...a budget tent will be fine.

tents etc

Thumbs up

I've got one I bought in France in a supermarket. It'll do 4 people easy, but on camp we let the kids have a compartment each. It cost a massive €60, about £40, and is waterproof, sewn in groundsheet etc etc.

Or failing the try Argos. Bought a 6 berth tent for only £70, they do smaller ones at cheaper prices, but the one i got has 2 compartments and I can just about stand up. The rest of the camping stuff they sell isnt that good. Just found the tents to be good prices at the time....

If you want one that you can put up in a few minutes get a Kyham. Well worth the extra few £ IMHO

I'd go for a tent you can stand up in! Great when it rains, and far easier for getting dressed etc.

Remember that you need a tent that is at least 1 size up than it says. ie a 4 man sleeps 3, a 5 4 etc
