This has all been done before, do a search.
Bottom line

At 100m the laser beam is about 250mm dia
reflected off your index plate ground level, windscreen off bridges either by the road safety van or plod
if your detector does not see it front or rear top and bottom you cant jam it or detect it
I did six runs at a road safety van and he had me each time no detection from road angel, I have the pictures to prove it.
and before you ask, I went out one afternoon with the MD of Blackspot Interactive and it does work.
Anyway the laser is instant and the speed is plotted and saved to video and prints are made from this, you have no hope of getting away with it.
I could only find one way to avoid detection, wait for it and its bloody dangerous so don’t think about it.

I've got Road Angel but am aware that by the time its warned me of a gun, I've already been got anyway - all the detectors are the same on this AFAIK. Only jammers that can help avoid it and they are illegal.

Shoppe, I have the RA and its been very good at warning me to the fixed and mobile (road works) cameras. It does not do mobile hand held radar or laser (but thats what the Laser diffuser is for), I suppose I could get a radar detector to protect from all 3 threats.
As long as you update it regularly then you're 99% OK. The only time that you would be vulnerable would be to a brand new camera site, as it may take a few days for Blackspot to update the system with it - this would be the same for similar systems anyway.
A recent car mag rated the RA as the best of the bread.
