Hi
OK, I've bought said item, it's basically a camelbak but has a different name! It claims to have a high flow bite valve, chuffin no flow bite hard as you like valve more like
Does anyone know how they work? I can only get water out if I remove the yellow bit, I'm sure that's not right though, surely
It should be "i" in the piccie
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've got a couple of these and they work well for me - much better than the normal Camelbak bite valve. You are biting it at 90 degrees to the slot are you or you'll just close it? And I assume you've removed the clear cellophane hygeine cover thing on it? That's all I can think of, sorry, tho they can sometimes take a bit of work to get going. I use mine for skiing and climbing, you?

And no you definitely don't remove the yellow bit or it'll just **** water everywhere. You do know you have to work it a bit first to get the water all the way through the system as the first bit is against gravity?

Paul, I thought it looked a bit like a drip of some sort too
Blue, thanks I thought it might be tough to start with but not this tough! Should the yellow thing have a split in it? it has a kind of groove in it but no split, I really can't see how to get owt out of it! I took the yellow bit for an experiment, you're right it p*ssed water everywhere and I nearly drowned
I'll be using it for walking / rally spectating. I'm sick of lugging bottles about! They're hard work to carry plus you have to take your rucksack off to get to them, this looks like just the job, well it will if I can ever get it to work!
Cheers

Oh right. yes it should have a split not just a groove! it won't work without it. you can buy the m'pieces separately or do it yourself with a large Kitchen Devil in a manouevre guaranteed to end in casualty as originally predicted!

I emailed the manafacturers in the US, it seems they have had "funky batch" they say I could slit it with a razor blade, **** that, it's bound to end in tears and blood loss or they'll "send one right out" I think I'll just go back to the shop, I can't be arsed waiting for the post
Thanks guys

Phew, I've just got back from town
The shop, millets, exchanged said item, no worries, in fact he said he'd check the renainder of his stock, inform the other branches and thanked me for making him aware of the problem. I've bought a few things from there now, they seem really good to deal with, I was more than happy today
I'm also pleased with initial trials of said item, it's currently sat on top of all my paper work providing me with refreshing water
