Honey, I blew up the car

[20 June] - Imagine this… walk up to your car in the morning, press the remote… and your automotive pride and joy is blown to bits. It actually happened.
According to Die Krone newspaper in the small town of Sollenau in Austria, a young driver got the fright of his life when he activated his remote control key to unlock his Ford Cougar… and it exploded.
At first local police thought it might be the work of terrorists, but it seems the owner of the car was really to blame - he had been carrying oxy-acetylene gas canisters in the boot, and hadn't checked the safety valves properly.
"On both containers, the valves weren't closed." said police Chief Inspector Rudolf Scheidl.
There was virtually nothing left of the Cougar and eight other cars were also damaged… miraculously though, no one was injured.
