just watched the race. nailbiting stuff to say the least especially the last corner for xaus, thought he was going to come a cropper but he held it well. much more exciting than F1 IMHO. one of the comentators said that the rider is 1/3 the weight of the bikes so a bike would be roughly 220 - 250 kg. he also stated that the new ducati 999 was 185bhp. this makes a power to weight ratio of 740 - 800 bhp per ton. awesome or what.

Even a good sports road bike has got an enormous BHP/ton ratio Big S. The acceleration is quite amazing. I had to make a choice when I got the Scoob and the car won-couldn't afford the 'bike as well-but I do miss it Have to borrow one occasionally now!
