I'm seriously contemplating selling the P1 to release funds for a house. I'm keeping my bike so i'll still have something that goes fast and scares the sh1te out of me.
Thing is it'll be sad getting a normal old fart sensible car, after owning scoobs and other fast things for the last 8 years or so, but after thinking about it, the thing that i am really going to miss is..............attention!!

I'm so disgusted with myself, but that is the truth! I love it, driving through a high street and loads of people looking at me and pointing etc. Sometimes, you can be in a right sh1tty mood, and someone comments on your car, or you get aload of schoolgirls waving at you, and it puts you into a good mood.

I should be a real man and say that what i will miss most will be the speed and handling etc (oh, and the noise), and to a certain degree i will miss that, but lets face it, we spend 80% of our time in traffic doing the same speed as the metro in front!

Have i turned into a poseur, one of them smarmy gits that i hate?!

I dunno but atleast i'm being honest.

You can pride yourself in your observatory abilities. And tell yourself you've overcome that silly poseur phase.

Don't worry - it's a nasty feeling, but you soon recover from it. When I switched from the Type-R to the X-Type, I missed the looks that I got from schoolkids who obviously thought I was cool with my gold wheels and excessive spoilerage.

Now I'm getting rid of the Jag too, and can't wait to blend further into obscurity in the Defender I'll be replacing it with.
