The unit with the Mobile spotter is £399( on the net for £329 best price)
IMO it's very good it has spottted ALL fixed cameras and i think it worth the £'s if you drive about alot
The blackspot bleeping thing is quite annoying though

The Road Angel is a good bit of kit, the gps picks up all speed devices and has a good up to date database.
Now for the big one
Mobile Units ie Road Safety Vans
they have been tweaked or modified to avoid detection in my opinion
so a jammer or a detector wont help you
Otherwise pay yer £400 + £50 subscription (first year free)
I would recommend the unit, the gps Speedo is first rate, least you know the exact speed you were zapped at

unit with spotter, is that the basic unit cos in *southern section* theres a link to a webbie knocking basic units without subscription for 285. then a lifetime sub from road angel is 100. total 385 for life. bargain.

As far as I can find out the old 'radar' detectors worked as the beam spread out in use and gave reasonable reflections from other cars that had been targeted. The laser guns used now maintain a parallel beam and reflections are much reduced. The detectors will detect all right but only once you've been zapped, not much of a consolation.
