Trying to forward-book a return journey with these **** from Kings Cross to Scunny in August. Last week they tell me the dates I want aren't released yet:
This week they tell me the dates I want, one WAS released last week, and is now sold out for bargain tickets, the other STILL hasn't been released as it's bank holiday sunday :mad WTF?
Wot's the point in a forward booking system that won't allow you to book any more than 6 weeks in advance, only releases/updates availability once a week, and needs BOTH parts of a return journey over a week apart to be available b4 it can book it?
Wot a bunch of w@nkers!!

I gave up using GNER after it cost £120 for me and my girlfriend to travel from Leeds to Chelmsford and we didn't even get a seat (stood in between carriages) I use the scoob now, much cheaper and a lot more fun

Try using www.thetrainline.com

Also as its going to invlove a change at Doncaster how about looking to get a ticket on the Hull Trains service out of Kings Cross instead of GNER. As another alternative, try booking on trains to Lincoln or Barnetby via Lincoln. Ok its 20 miles away but its a shorter journey and is usually cheaper. And its easy if you can get a lift from a mate to complete the journey.

There are lots of permutations, send me an e-mail with the journey details that you'd like i.e. dates and times and let me have your Tel number, I'm usually good at booking good deals, seeing I used to do this all each month myself. I'll have shufty for you. Oh and by the way were you at the supermarket in Brigg last Friday evening?

At least you lot have a station to get a train to

The line through Stoke is shut until September for major work. Whilst some may say that's not a bad thing (in which case ), it means I have to get my sorry *** out bed even earlier when I want to go to London by train

Train companies are thieves pure and simple in my own personal opinion, especially WAGN, who took my money in advance and then laid on a useless bus service for a week that made me so late I had to drive part way into work. Thieves!
