Last night when coming home from work I kind of ignored the bit where the bypass changes from a 70mph limit to a 50 and may have been speeding.
I noticed in the distance (i.e. about 300-400m) some yellow behind a sign - well hidden I might add - and then I saw movement so jumped on the brakes. As I got closer I noticed it was a parked up police landrover that was hidden behind a sign. A copper had a clipboard and seemed to take my number down as I passed. I didn't see any camera's, no camera's in the landrover would have a view of me and I didn't actually see him with a gun. That said he could have gunned me when I was too far away to make out more than yellow blobs.
All this said he didn't come after me and pull me over and in the absence of cameras to take photographic evidence its been suggested to me by others that I'm ok.
Thoughts? I personally think I'm fecked and in fairness I've been lucky so far since I got performance cars so it would probably be fair
P.S. Should I edit to chance all the 'me' and 'I' to 'my mate' and 'him'

Alright Kenny
saw that *person* from the opposite direction on my way home last night at about 6-ish? If it was the same landrover parked just after the M8 sliproad I can tell you he did have a gun when I passed. Not sure how these things work but maybe he was just finishing nabbing the person just before you?
Fingers crossed mate I drove that stretch again this morning...haven't been so conscious of what a daft 50 it is for a long time!
cheers

you might find the copper/gun was further up the road tagging people and communicating the speed to the copper in the landie. But I thought they had to pull you over and for you to agree the speed, unless the gun has a video / photo unit as well to use as evidence.
I was pulled a few months back in a hire car for doing 42 in a 40 a copper just waved me over, the copper with the gun was hiding in someones garden zapping people inbetween some bushes.
He just gave me a lecture and to check insurance ect and I left unscathed.
(I did get my revenge as i got my father in law to call the person whose garden it was to go and kick the copper out of his bush.)
