Get a set of quality radio headphones, I swear by them you can leave the room to cook, move around the house and garden and not disturb anyone, even go to bed listening to music. Once bitten there's no going back.

i got a set of Sennheiser HD200 monitors for my decks they are fecking louder than my speakers but im not sure if their output would be the same if only hooked up to a HiFi i believe they cost me at the time around 60 quid

I can heartily recommend Sennheiser HD 570.
Great sound quality, soft felty like earpiece that surrounds the ear so great comfort for your ears! Light too.
I think there in the £70-£90 range. Can't remember how much I paid. £80 i think.
