I am looking to import an exhaust system from Japan.

Will i be liable for Import duty and VAT and at how much??

I know Vat is at 17.5%,

You need to find out the commidty (sp) code is for the exhaust and this will tell you how much you will be charge for import duty. Then its VAT on top of that.

import duty is 10% on the goods AND carriage and then theres vat on the lot (yes even vat on import duty !!!!!)
