Has anyone ever been a witness in court??

I am going to be tomorrow as an accident I was involved in last year has gone to court to work out who was to blame

What can I expect???

Lots of waiting around. Take a book.
The lawyer type person will try and trip you up, stick to your statement and all will be fine. If you don't understand the question just say so, don't be intimidated by anyone. You will be able to go over your statement before you go into the court room.
you may not even be called as a witness if there are other witness's.
Oh and if you are called as a witness when you leave the court room DON'T discuss anything about it with any one else (other witness's etc)
Think thats about it was years ago I was at court as a witness now.
And remember your not on trial.. (your not are you?)

No I am not on trial Its just the Inurance companies involved working out who has to pay out

Not looking forward to it I would rather be at work!!!

Yeah. About a month ago.

Not too bad at all. Just remember to say what you saw and dont worry. The Witness Liaison People were superb, they really help you out so don't worry.

Exactly as Johnny has put it really, we were in court as a witness in March, unfortunately got to do it all again in 2 weeks. If it's a floating case though, be prepared to be turned away, as they won't have a court room for the case.

The Liason people were very good and supportive.
