He'll be playing with one of those tiny neon blue flashy light key-fob thingies and trying to panic people into thinkin' he was the fuzz.....
or a fire-service chappie if he has them on the dashboard
.....dead annoying and often seen up here, hence why I ignore all blue flashing lights behind me

Driving along the motorway ,got stuck behind a renault laguna estate finally let me past no probs ,the about a mile later sees a blue light for about 1 sec ,the car was still about 400 mt away.the flashes 2 or 3 fron the passenger corner of the car.pulled over and slowed down as he passed ,seen a smaller version of the large blue lights on top of his dash board .he just kept going ,no uniform or anything just looked like a rep.could it be organ deliverer, fire offcer on a wind up???.thought i knew all the detection methods !.is this new or am i being paranoid??
cheers bluenose/

Some specialist Police units use plain cars and don't always wear uniform, for example Support Group, some firearms units, Diplomatic Protection, Regional Crime Squads, Serious Crime squads.
They don't always have the same flash motors as Traffic Division, but many are fitted with concealed blues.
Senior fire officers quite often have them fitted to their vehicles as do some senior Ambulance personel and other emergency use personel, so it could have been anyone of a dozen different units, or someone pratting about of course.

Well, it wasn't me, but (being an ar$ehole ) I've got one of those blue keyring lights.
Very useful for night-time flashing at tail-gaiting *****.
(Mind you, I'll probably end up flashing a traffic cop, so I suppose I'd better stop...)
