4 days until I am in Florence, and I need an automatic car - not much choice online that can be confirmed instantly - and I leave tmmrw.

Will I get ripped off just turning up and hiring one at the airport?
Are the rates high when you just turn up? (I will be there 4 days
before I need a car - so would pre-book one at the airport for 4 days hence).

swines in Australia wanted something like 5000 Aus dollars as a damage waiver !!! i wasn't told about this fee before I left and struggled to come up with the cash. nearly didn't hire it but as I had to travel from Sidney to Brisbane I thought I'd better cough up.
