Wow, that was great!
So good infact I watched the second episode on BBC 3 just afterwards. All you Star Trek fans should watch it as it stars Alexander Siddig AKA Julian Bashir from DS9.
For those that didn't see it next week's episode is superb and very relavant in todays political climate!

I think that people really overracted with that. I believe that it received the most complaints EVER in the history of the BBC. But it was such a waste of a pretty face!
But that's what I love about Spooks, you never know whats going to happen!

good, but far too many cheesey shots of people walking in 'delta' formation along corridors and striding purposefully around helipads. Do that guy's workmates always have to walk two steps behind him while he dishes out instructions...???

Watched an episode of the last series and just found the acting to be totally plastic and the story line so unrealistic. Havent watched it since. Give me 24 any day

maybe....but I've never worked for the security services, so I've no idea how realistic it is. Probably not very, is my guess. Good TV though.
A bit like the Grant Mitchell/SAS series on ITV. I'm sure I could hear the laughter in Hereford....and I live in Reading But it was entertaining, nonetheless...

Exactly!
Perhaps to many armchair warriors read a couple of John Le Carre or Andy McNab books and think they are advisers for the security services and know the score - Its just a drama program

LOL, Split decision or what.
Aside from the cheesey formation walking i think it is absolutely tops. I love 24, but kinda think this is better in that a lot of 24 is drawn out a bit too much. I loved the bit at the end with the switched meeting room etc, un-fookin-lucky mate!

I enjoyed the first series.. If you want to pick holes there are plenty there to have a go at.. but hey take it at face value and it's something worth watching for an hour... which makes a change..
Having said that last night's episode I thought was a bit poor.. relied on not letting the viewer see the story in the same time frame as what was happening.. otherwise there was not twist or suspense in the story... still kept my *** on the sofa for an hour..

Well it's probably a 50/50 love hate split. Next week's episode is pretty good, give it a chance and remember its a drama not a documentary!
As for "Ultimate Force" and the equally crappily titled "Serious and Organised", they are just abit of fun although I could have thought of better titles in my sleep!
I just hope they bring out the first "Bafta Award Winning" series on DVD!

'Tis a bit naughty of the BBC to show next week's episode on BBC3 half an hour later, so that all the "analoguonians" will have the story ruined by the folks on FreeView
However, i must admit that i did watch the next episode, and it was quite good - although the plot has more holes, technical errors and impossible situations than you can shake an Apple computer (standard secret service issue!) ) at
