there are a few good places down there. last time i went though the only club was ms peggoty,s just by porthmear beach (the island end). if u go along the high street the pubs there are ok. the sloop on the harbour front is always packed too but thats with all ages of peoples.

Not much in the way of night clubbing there are a few but nothing to shout about, but there are plenty of good pubs and restaurants in the St Ives/Penzance area. You might want to try the Tolcarne Inn it’s a great little pub next door to the fish market and harbour in Newleyn (about 7 miles from St Ives) with great food, the fish and chips are great as you can imagine your fish was in the sea that morning. The best beach down there is Senan cove (about 5 miles from St Ives), also you might want to visit St Michaels Mount (about 10 miles from St Ives) you can walk out to the mount from Marazion beach when the tide is out. My parents own a COTTAGE about halfway between Penzance and St Ives and my dad’s side of the family live down there, so I went down there twice a year until I was 16.
P.S. watch the Seagulls in St Ives they are write thieving ****s, one swooped down pinched an ice-cream write out of my hand last time I went.

P.P.S Stay well clear of Lands End its crap nothing much there and it’s a rip off just a tourist trap because there is nothing for a few miles around. You might want to try the pub near there it’s called the last pub in Britain because it is

Exploring the coast between Lands End and St Ives is worthwhile too. Miles of derelict Cornish Tin Mines. Very facinating if you like that sort of industrial archeology thing.

Cheers lads.
I didnt expect to much at least its not dead though.
Its a pity im not going in the scoob as the gear box has gone i imagine the roads would be pretty good down there. Still have fun in my scooby eating 5 turbo though if it gets there lol.

There are lots of good lanes round there which are probably more suited to your 5GTT than the scoob. Most of the lanes round there are really windy and most have really good smooth surfaces ideal for a small FWD hot hatch. Last time I was down there we went in my mates 206GTI needles to say we had some fun.
