Question

Pointless post, but who cares...

What do you say for this Century? Current year is 2003, so do you say "two thousand and three" or "twenty oh three". I prefer the second way, but this is probably better when we get to the next decade and don't have to say the "oh". "Twenty ten" better than "two thousand and ten"

In the same way that "nineteen hundered and ninety nine" is English and "nineteen ninety nine" is American?

Afraid I've been around computers & electronics too long and have been known to say "2k3" for 2003.

Was always taught that 'Oh' was a letter, the number is zero or nought

Talking

Keep it simple
2002 - Last year
2003 - This year
2004 - next year
2005, 2006, 2007 etc - in a couple of years

What about One Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Nine, that should be the way to say it
